You Have Something That Can Provide Hope and Help to Donor Families in Need

Being a part of Taylor’s Gift Foundation has given me an incredible opportunity to see how generous people can be. I am consistently amazed by our supporters, volunteers, and friends. With the help of all these generous people who came alongside us and supported our important mission, 2015 was an amazing year for Taylor’s Gift.

Texas Reaches 7 Million Registered Organ Donors... and Counting!

Less than one year ago, we were excited for the Texas registry to hit 5 million registered organ donors. Today, that number has reached 7 million, and counting.

A Note From Donate Life Texas

"Seven has long been considered a lucky number and Donate Life Texas is now proud to carry that tradition forward. On this happy morning, January 7, we are proud to announce that the Donate Life Texas registry has now registered 7 million organ, eye and tissue donors!

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of all Donate Life Texas partners across the state, we can celebrate this lifesaving milestone together. Your efforts to educate individuals, to reach out into our communities and to ask people to sign up on the Donate Life Texas registry are what have made all the difference. With each registered donor comes the hope of more transplants, shorter wait times for those in need and a lessened decision-making burden on grieving families.

Please visit DLT on Facebook and Twitter to like and share our announcement and join us in congratulating the 7 million Texans who have each made a personal commitment to Donate Life!

On behalf of all those whose lives are touched by donation, thank you & congratulations!"

HOPE for the Holidays

We are so grateful for the privilege to serve others through Taylor’s Gift Foundation. While we are thankful for so many things, the spark of HOPE that brings light to so many lives through the gift of organ donation is especially sweet to us.

We are so privileged to be a “for purpose” organization that is providing HOPE to our communities.

April - a month that is close to our hearts - is a very special time of year for us at Taylor's Gift Foundation. Not only is Aprilthe birth month of our namesake,Taylor, it is also "National Donate Life Month".

National Donate Life Month is a time to both honor those who have saved lives through the gift of life, as well as encourage Americans to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors themselves; overall, it is a nationwide effort to help spread the hope of the gift of life.

With the help of wonderful friends, we have some great ways for you to participate, celebrate, educate, and encourage those around you to become registered organ donors!

We are so excited to kick off this special month with OPI Taylor Blue nail polish relaunching, new technology partnerships with Spotify and RunAds, fun events and speaking engagements, and even a few celebrity surprises. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate the gift of life!

74,649,600 Seconds: Making Every Moment Count

It seems so cliche to say “make the most of every moment”, but oh how true this rings when faced with the loss of someone near and dear to you.

The world lost an amazing woman on Wednesday evening… Nefeterius Akeli McPherson passed away after losing the battle with an aggressive cancer.

Nefeterius was a dear friend to us at Taylor’s Gift Foundation and she impacted so many, including those that never had the privilege to actually meet her. She was stunningly beautiful inside and out, and the perfect example of the ‘Outlive Yourself’ spirit.

A Friend to Everyone

We first met Nefeterius on Twitter where she was an avid organ donor advocate, always spreading the message of the gift of life - something that she experienced personally. Her smile was so infectious and you could even see it shine through her blog writing, Twitter messages, and Facebook posts.

Surely everyone she came in contact with fell in love with her loving spirit and caring nature.

Helping Organ Transplant Patients: One Family at a Time

I walked through the halls of Nora’s Home, visiting with staff and families. The phrase, “I don’t have words to say except, thank you…” welcomed me over and over again. Humbled, all I could do was smile.

As a contributor, Taylor’s Gift Foundation was invited to the “Grand Opening and Gala Kick-Off Event” that took place on February 12th to celebrate the official grand opening of Nora’s Home in Houston, Texas.

Outlive Yourself Stories: Local Eagle Scout Gives Back

Local resident and active Boy Scout, Riley Hyslop, chose to give back to the Coppell community through his Eagle Scout project, completed in April of this year. The beautiful sign at Taylor’s Garden, located at Coppell Middle School East, entailed multiple details and planning in order to execute. Selecting the project wasn’t a tough decision, as Riley stated, “The reason I chose Taylor’s Garden Sign was to give back in honor of an old friend. I also found it as a great opportunity to give back to my former middle school that provided me with so much learning opportunity.”
